Service area
15 communities and one yard on Federal Rd in Brookfield. Here is every place we cover, grouped by area, each with its own page on access, local character and what the town's own rules say about who may haul and containers in the street.
We run roll-off containers out of 243-247 Federal Rd in Brookfield, on Federal Rd (US-202) just north of Danbury, to every community below. Distance is the first thing that changes. Approx. road miles from the yard: Brookfield 3, Danbury 6, Bethel and Bridgewater 7, New Fairfield 10, Newtown and New Milford 12, Redding 13, Roxbury 14, Ridgefield and Sherman 15, Monroe 18, Southbury 19, Woodbury 23 and Kent 25. Same-day or next-day is available when availability allows, and timing decides the rest. Villages and neighborhoods without their own page are inside our run too.
The second thing that changes is the rules. Connecticut law makes every hauler register each year in each town it collects in (CGS § 22a-220a(d)) and mark its truck doors with the business name and address (§ 22a-220a(e)). In the 14 member towns of the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority (HRRA), a public regional authority (CGS § 7-273aa), HRRA's form says "Registration with the HRRA is deemed registration in the municipality", and HRRA policy wants the company name on each vehicle and roll-off. Monroe, Southbury and Woodbury are not HRRA members, so each sets its own rules. Bethel needs a written permit from the Building Official for a construction container at a one- or two-family home, for up to 30 days with one 30-day renewal (Code Ch. 52), and Monroe wants a yearly Town licence plus a registration for each container, with the company name and phone number in letters at least four inches high on every one (§§ 452-3, 452-8B). In both we check the Town's rules before booking. Southbury repealed its hauler sections in 2022, but its code still refers to a "municipally registered collector" (§ 8-73(a)), so we check with the Town before booking. Woodbury sets a Town licence plus a separate registration for each vehicle or container (§ 205-14), Brookfield has collectors register each year (§ 188-5), and the other towns follow the state registration rule through HRRA. On a Danbury street, § 28-55 bars placing "any article, material or thing of any kind" on a street, sidewalk or public place so as to obstruct public travel without a permit from the City Engineer, and § 42-111(2) needs a Public Works permit for the temporary storage of equipment or construction materials in a City right-of-way. Neither section names dumpsters, and we found no dumpster-specific permit or fee. So the driveway comes first, and for a street placement we check the City's rules and the placement with you before booking. Outside Danbury we found no town rule for a container on a town road, so we check with Public Works before a street placement. Ridgefield bars placing building material or anything else on a sidewalk so it blocks free passage (§ 310-2), and Bethel bars placing debris on any public roadway or right-of-way (§ 83-3). Connecticut law bars placing any obstruction within, under, upon or over a state highway "without the written permission of the commissioner" of Transportation (CGS § 13a-247), with fines of $2,000 to $5,000 for each offense and each day counted separately, so a container never goes in the right-of-way of I-84, US-7, US-202, CT-133 or any other state route. We are licensed & insured. Each town page quotes the section and gives the office to call. We would rather say it here than find out on delivery day.
The service area
The run splits three ways: Danbury and next door - Danbury, Brookfield, Bethel, New Fairfield and Bridgewater; Newtown, Ridgefield and south - Newtown, Ridgefield, Redding and Monroe; and New Milford and north - New Milford, Sherman, Roxbury, Southbury, Woodbury and Kent.
Danbury, our main market, plus Brookfield, where the yard is, and Bethel, New Fairfield and Bridgewater — roughly 3 to 10 road miles from the yard (approx.). All five are HRRA member towns, so a hauler's HRRA registration is deemed registration in each. Danbury needs a City Engineer permit for anything that obstructs a street (§ 28-55), so for a street spot we check the City's rules and the placement with you first; Bethel needs a Building Official permit for a roll-off at a one- or two-family home (Ch. 52), so we check the Town's rules before booking there. Same-day or next-day when availability allows.
Newtown, Ridgefield, Redding and Monroe — roughly 12 to 18 road miles from the yard (approx.). Newtown, Ridgefield and Redding register haulers through HRRA, and their town stations limit what contractors can bring; Ridgefield's own page says residential projects over 4 cubic yards should use an onsite dumpster. Monroe isn't an HRRA town and wants a Town licence plus a registration for each container (§ 452-3), so we check the Town's rules before booking there. Same-day or next-day when availability allows.
New Milford, Sherman, Roxbury, Southbury, Woodbury and Kent — roughly 12 to 25 road miles from the yard (approx.). New Milford, Sherman, Roxbury and Kent register haulers through HRRA. Woodbury licenses collectors itself, with a registration for each vehicle or container (§ 205-14), and Southbury repealed its hauler sections in 2022 but still refers to municipally registered collectors, so we check with the Town before booking there. Same-day or next-day when availability allows.

Many of them, depending on where the trucks are and when you call - before noon gives you the best chance. The closest runs from the yard are Brookfield, approx. 3 road miles, Danbury, approx. 6, and Bethel and Bridgewater, approx. 7; the furthest are Southbury, approx. 19, Woodbury, approx. 23, and Kent, approx. 25. In Bethel and Monroe we check the Town's rules before booking, and in Southbury we check with the Town, which can take longer than a same-day window.
Call and ask - villages and neighborhoods inside each town are inside our run; they just do not have their own pages. Tell us the address and we will tell you which rules apply. The rules follow the town the property is in, not the mailing address.
Because Connecticut makes every hauler register each year in each town it collects in (CGS § 22a-220a(d)). In the 14 HRRA towns, HRRA's form says "Registration with the HRRA is deemed registration in the municipality"; Monroe, Southbury and Woodbury are outside HRRA and set their own rules. We state what each town says, and where a town needs a permit or its own registration first, we check its rules before booking.
Delivery location is one of the things the price depends on, so the furthest towns can cost a little more - we say so up front.
To licensed disposal and recycling facilities serving Fairfield County. Whenever possible, materials such as concrete, metal and wood are separated for recycling, and yard waste goes to approved green waste facilities. The town transfer stations are resident drop-offs, so a roll-off's load does not go there, and we ask what is going in before we quote.
