Junk Removal across Greater Danbury
Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, our crew handles the heavy lifting, the loading, the hauling and the cleanup - you point and we remove. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a single couch or appliance, a full property cleared out, a rental turned over, a home prepared for sale, or debris after a storm.
The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a few items or a houseful you want gone in one visit, call the crew; if it is renovation debris, yard waste, a construction site or a multi-day cleanout you will load at your own pace, a self-load dumpster is usually the better deal. We do both, and we offer bundled pricing for projects that combine the two.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- A crew that does all the loading, hauling and cleanup
- An upfront quote based on volume, type of debris and access
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics and office cleanouts
- Same-day or next-day service often available
- Items sorted for recycling, donation or proper disposal
- Light demolition of small sheds, decks and fences
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Home cleanouts are the biggest category: estate cleanouts, move-in and move-out cleanups, foreclosure or eviction cleanouts, and garage, attic and basement cleanouts for homeowners, renters, landlords and property owners. Businesses are next: offices and retail stores, restaurants, warehouses and storage facilities, property managers and HOAs, with old fixtures, displays, cubicles, chairs, shelving and filing cabinets. Then the one-off pile: couches, mattresses, tables, desks and dressers; refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers; TVs, computers and monitors; or branches and brush after a storm.
We also offer light demolition and debris removal for small sheds, decks and fences, with no dumpster rental needed. What we cannot take is anything hazardous: paint, fuel, oil, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste. HRRA's site lists where household paint and chemicals go, and your town's transfer station page says what it takes from residents.
Junk removal or a dumpster - which is better?
A rough rule: if the job is furniture, appliances, electronics or a cleanout you want handled hands-off, call the crew. Junk removal is priced on the volume of material, the type of debris and the access and labor needed, and the quote includes labor, hauling and disposal, so there are no hidden charges. If it is a remodel, a yard, a job site or a multi-day cleanout, a roll-off on the driveway is usually better value, because you load it at your own pace and the dumpster is priced flat by size. We will say which on the phone.

Junk removal - the local specifics
Most public options stop short of a real cleanout. The town transfer stations are resident drop-offs with permits: Bethel's takes no construction debris, Newtown's bars commercial vehicles, Redding's is for residents only, and Kent's is open on weekends only. Bridgewater's facility takes no household trash and no demolition debris, and Sherman has no transfer station in town. HRRA's site lists the regional programs for mattresses and household hazardous waste. Electronics have their own rule: Connecticut bars knowingly placing a covered electronic device - computers, monitors, laptops and TVs - in a solid waste facility (CGS §§ 22a-636, 22a-629(5)), so ours go through approved programs. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait, or does not qualify for any of that. Usable items are donated or recycled whenever possible, and metal, appliances, cardboard, plastics, yard waste and clean wood are diverted where facilities take them.

Not covered here? Call (475) 256-5131 and ask.
How is junk removal priced?
On the volume of material, the type of debris and the access and labor needed. Your quote includes labor, hauling and disposal, and you get it before we start. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.
Do I need to be there?
For the first visit, usually - someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. Our crew gives you a heads-up before arrival.
Can you take appliances and electronics?
Yes - refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers, and TVs, computers, monitors and office equipment. Electronics go through approved programs, not a dumpster.
Can you take a mattress or a couch?
Yes - couches, mattresses, tables, desks and dressers are some of the most common things we haul, from single items to whole-house cleanouts.
How fast can a crew come?
Same-day junk removal is available in Danbury when availability allows. Call before noon and we will do everything possible to schedule the pickup the same day; otherwise next-day is often available.
