Nature of our service

Hatcity Dumpster Rentals provides temporary roll-off dumpster rentals for residential, commercial and construction projects in Danbury, Brookfield and the surrounding towns - delivery, placement, pickup and the disposal of approved non-hazardous materials - together with junk removal. Depending on availability, project scope and location, we may provide the rental directly or connect you with an independent local dumpster rental provider ("Service Provider") able to fulfil the request, and we may use delivery partners or subcontractors. We do not operate disposal facilities. Each Service Provider operates independently and is solely responsible for its own pricing, scheduling, delivery and pickup, customer service, waste disposal practices, licensing, registrations, permits and insurance, and performance. All rentals are subject to availability and to the town and state rules that apply at the delivery address.

Acceptance of terms

By using this website, requesting a quote or renting a dumpster from us by phone, email, text or online form, you confirm that you are over 18 years of age, that you have authority to request dumpster rental services for the property involved, and that you agree to these terms. You agree to use the website lawfully and not to upload, post or transmit harmful, illegal or misleading content, attempt unauthorized access to our systems or data, or interfere with the operation, security or functionality of the website. We may restrict access or remove content that breaks these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

No guarantee of service

We work to provide dependable dumpster rental, but we do not guarantee availability at all times or in all locations; delivery times are estimates; pricing may vary with the project, the provider and the location; and weather, traffic, road restrictions, facility restrictions or local rules may affect scheduling. Same-day and next-day delivery depend on availability, and in towns that require a permit or their own registration first, a booking depends on the town's requirements. Where a Service Provider handles your rental, the work is performed by that provider, any agreement about the rental is made directly between you and that provider, and we are not responsible for scheduling, delivery, damages or disputes arising from it.

Information collection and sharing

When you submit a form, call our number or request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address, project details and location. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including the delivery address, placement instructions and payment details. It is shared only with those who need it to fulfil your request, such as a payment processor, a delivery partner or a relevant Service Provider. The Privacy Policy explains more.

Booking, payments and pricing

Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and depend on the dumpster size, the type and weight of the debris, the delivery location and the length of the rental. Our flat-rate pricing includes delivery, pickup and disposal within the stated weight limit; additional charges may apply for excess weight, which is billed at a per-ton rate we tell you up front, for extended rental periods, and for prohibited materials. We accept major credit cards, electronic payments and business checks, and invoices are available for contractors and repeat clients. Payment may be required before delivery, and late payments or declined transactions may result in delayed service or cancellation. Hatcity Dumpster Rentals handles pricing for the services we provide directly. Where a Service Provider handles the rental, payment may be processed directly between you and that provider, and quotes, billing, refunds, extensions and any overage charges are between you and that provider.

Rental periods and extensions

The standard rental period is up to 7 days unless otherwise agreed at booking, and your quote states the period. Extensions are available on request for a daily fee. You are responsible for scheduling pickup before the rental period ends to avoid additional charges; call or text when you finish.

Cancellations and refunds

Orders cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery qualify for a full refund. Same-day cancellations or missed deliveries may incur a service fee. Approved refunds are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days.

Use of the container

You agree to use the dumpster safely and lawfully. You are responsible for a safe, accessible placement area on flat, solid ground; for keeping clear access for delivery and pickup; for keeping debris level with or below the top edge - do not overfill the dumpster; and for keeping prohibited materials out. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, oil and other automotive fluids and chemicals; asbestos; electronics; batteries; fluorescent bulbs; propane tanks, fuel containers and pressurized cylinders; tires; and medical waste. Connecticut law bars knowingly placing covered electronic devices in a solid waste facility (CGS § 22a-636) and placing used lead-acid batteries in mixed municipal solid waste (§ 22a-256g). Concrete, brick and asphalt are accepted only in limited quantities and within the weight limit. Improper disposal may result in additional fees or legal consequences, and you are responsible for issues caused by blocked or overloaded containers.

Property and placement

We take reasonable care when placing dumpsters to reduce the risk of property damage, and protective boards can go under the container on request. Unless protective measures were requested before delivery, you accept responsibility for any surface damage to driveways, lawns, sidewalks or curbs. We recommend boards under the container on concrete, asphalt or pavers. Do not move the container after placement; contact us if it needs relocating.

Permits and local compliance

Local rules differ from town to town. Connecticut requires every hauler to register each year in each town it collects in (CGS § 22a-220a(d)). In Bethel, a construction container at a one- or two-family home needs a written permit from the Building Official (Code Ch. 52), and in Monroe each container needs a Town registration (§§ 452-3, 452-8B); in those towns we check the Town's requirements before booking. A container in a public street or right-of-way may need a permit, such as a City Engineer permit in Danbury (§ 28-55), and Connecticut law bars any obstruction in a state highway without the written permission of the Commissioner of Transportation (CGS § 13a-247), so containers are not placed there. If your dumpster must be placed on a street or other public property, you are responsible for obtaining any required right-of-way or placement permit from the town or other governing authority, and for following any HOA rules. We can offer general guidance, but final responsibility for permits and compliance at your property remains with the customer.

Service provider responsibility

When a Service Provider is involved, it operates as an independent business and is responsible for obtaining proper licences, registrations, insurance and permits; complying with local, state and federal laws; safe and lawful disposal of waste; and damage prevention during delivery and pickup. Hatcity Dumpster Rentals does not supervise or control the daily operations of independent providers and is not liable for their conduct or performance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hatcity Dumpster Rentals, its owners, employees, partners and affiliates are not liable for any damages, injuries or losses arising from improper loading or use of a container; failure to follow local regulations or permit requirements; weather events, natural disasters or unforeseen delays; customer negligence during the rental period; services provided by third parties or delays, cancellations or failure to perform by any referred provider; or errors or omissions in the content of this website; nor for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability does not exceed the amount paid for the specific rental service involved. You are encouraged to review your own insurance coverage before renting equipment.

No warranties

The website and our services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including about the quality or reliability of referred providers, the accuracy of information on the website, or the fitness of any service for a particular purpose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hatcity Dumpster Rentals, its owners, employees and affiliates from any claims, losses or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your use of the site or our services, your relationship or transactions with referred Service Providers, improper use of a container, disposal of prohibited materials, a violation of law, or a breach of these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on hatcitydumpsters.com, including text, graphics, images and logos, belongs to Hatcity Dumpster Rentals and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution or commercial use of any of it without our written consent is prohibited.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any dispute related to them is resolved in the courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We may update these terms at any time; the updated version is posted on this page, and continued use of our website or services after that means you accept the changes.
